The sanctuary

The Jaguar Rescue Center (aprox. 4 km away from our school) offers volunteer projects where you are able to help hurt or orphaned wild animals.

Spanish + Volunteering

Please keep in mind that the work at the Rescue Center is a full time job, therefore we recommend taking a Spanish course at our school before you start your volunteering program. This way you will learn Spanish and then practice it while taking care of cute animals.

Deep in the jungle of the  Talamanca Mountains live different indigenous tribes such as the Bri-Bri, Cabecar, Telire and Nasu.
They have conserved their own languages and traditional culture and some of them still live without electricity in the typical conical houses.
On different trips, some lasting several hours and others a couple of days, you have the possibility to learn much more about the indigenous way of living, their medicine, spiritual sense, architecture, handcrafts and more. At the same time, you will reach otherwise inaccessible spots.
On one of these tours you will truly experience the other face of the Caribbean!
